When I was passing through
a wilderness-like season of life,
I went to a bookstore and came across a book.
As I was reading, my eyes stopped at these words:

“When you are walking through the wilderness,
ask the One who knows the wilderness best.
Only then can you pass through it well.”

So I decided to spend a year writing
in my journal—
asking and listening.
I poured out my heart with many questions.
As I asked Him,
my inner thoughts were laid bare.
Yet, knowing all that was inside me,
He answered, comforted,
and walked with me.
It was a wilderness, yet it was heaven.
I shed many tears,
but I also saw His tears.
And so it was gratitude and grace.
What mattered was not the place,
but realizing who I was walking with—
that was the precious lesson of this time.
